Spring Gulch Corridor

The Hines team welcomed the opportunity to work on the Spring Gulch renovation of a 3.5-mile drainage corridor which will include the extension of a recreational trail system for the City of Longmont. "The trails become a part of the natural surroundings while maintaining and enhancing the natural character of the river corridor. A true escape." (City forester, Kenneth Wicklund)

Current Scope of Work

Hines Engineers are working with the project design team considering multiple water sources which might be utilized to establish new plant material within the newly established corridor area.  The feasibility study includes the consideration of a single non-potable water source drawn from the Union Reservoir as compared to the development of multiple, discreet in-channel water sources within the gulch & adjacent irrigation ditches.  Preliminary infrastructure design, water storage & water quality, and high efficiency irrigation system planning will be prepared for future design following approval by the City.
