Water Harvesting

Hines' scope included design of a cooling tower blowdown water harvesting system for the 40-acre campus. Of primary concern was engineering an efficiently sized storage reservior while still meeting the maximum potable water savings available for this site. Our team provided significant Water Quality Treatment utilizing organic and natural methods to protect the environment and our water resources.

Site Sustainable Irrigation Design

The design eliminated over 50% of the potable landscape water requirement for the entire site. The implementation of an inline, non-powered fertigation system eliminates the use of chemical fertilizers, reduces water use by an additional 20%, and provides substantial annual labor savings. A weather based system was also put in place - offering precise water management. This engineered efficient irrigation system is both cost effective and easily managed.
